From 1981 onwards, the remaining XD7's received the new logo and MD III lenses. I was very glad to pick up this black beauty in 2017. Underneath the logo, the old one will appear without doubt. Many unsold XD7's received new top plates with the fresh rising sun logo. Still, despite being older and less attractive for the amateur, the XD7 (and XD11 in the US) was more expensive than the new X-700 and it remained so until the end, in 1984.
