The Minolta X-570 was only available in black, but the European X-500 made a rare appearance as such, because it was standard available in grey and additional money was asked for overall black. This particular X-500 was saved from an uncertain fate. A true 'barn find', because it was placed somewhere in dust and dirt for a long time. Cleaned in in almost four hours, used just anything the camera could withstand, including toothpicks and soft cloths. The result is very satisfying. Two new batteries and the camera immediately woke up. Very clean viewfinder, very smooth shutter. Lovely.
