About 50 methamphetamine factories along the northern border (Burmese side) belonged to drug kingpin Wei Hseuh-kang and the ethnic Red Wa Hilltribe (Wa Daeng).
The border is very quiet these days and we were able to visit the small Thai Army outpost
near the Nor Lae Palaung Village.
