New Tricks

Face to face care has given way to virtual visits by video, phone and texting.
Before this pandemic started, I was of the old school of medicine where ideal
care was done in person and not on a screen or on the phone.
Although it is still not a replacement, what has come out of this pandemic is that
I have learned new ways to reach out to my patients.
Who says “you can’t teach old dogs new tricks”? :0)

Great that these new gadgets can provide services that would otherwise be unavailable during these times of lockdown.

Good for you embracing the new normal and the changing ways it demands! I'm sure many problems can be solved through online technology. I too love how you are documenting the doctor's experience lately! Bravo and keep it up!

Necessity is the mother of invention!
I love the way you are documenting these times.

Nicely composed and a great caption. For all of us are lives have changed. My wife has been a university professor for many years. She will be teaching from home on the computer this fall semester.

Sadly we have a non-communicative doctor :( But our photography club has been having Zoom meetings which we all love - I was quite amazed at how easy it is.

Yes, we are happily adapting to the change as is our family doctor. I do feel for older senior who have little or no access to technology and difficulty with a phone. I’m sure their physicians are taking this into account with appropriate arrangements.

a 21st century solution that must serve well in some cases (hard to check blood pressure over the phone)...reassuring to see that technological possibilities are explored and utilized...strong image to show your devices so well..

Glad to hear you're taking advantage of this new way of meeting with patients. I've found it very useful, and for now it beats having to take Lyft into Virginia to my doctor's office, not a place I want to be at the moment.

Have the patients been enthusiastic? I'm sort of stuck in the '50s and I really would like to meet face to face. If this keeps up...and it will, I'll have to join the20th century.
