Our first overnight excursion was to Galicia, which is the region of Spain north of Portugal. One exciting part of this trip was that we were going to travel into Portugal. While the rest of Spain that I visited was very dry, it rains frequently in Galicia. We went to Santiago de Compostela and several other sites around this autonomous community. During this excursion I shared a room with Christina, I would be her roommate during the rest of the excursions.
