Matobo Hills, Zimbabwe


The Matobo Hills are a UNESCO world heritage site near Bulawayo.

The landscape is other worldly and majestic. It is no wonder that Cecil John Rhodes chose to be buried here.
It is most beautiful in summer when the green vegetation contrasts beautifully with the granite rock formations.
Unfortunately the summer rains can also make photography challenging as was the case when we visited.
