Zimbabwe has an embarrassment of riches waiting to be seen: Victoria Falls, Hwange National Park, Matobo Hills, Mana Pool and of course the Great Zimbabwe Ruins.
The majority of Zimbabweans are extremely cheerful and very friendly.

Unfortunately decades of ruin have created a culture of "every person for themselves", which is particularly evident in the amount of corruption and extortion that one encounters on a daily basis.
Consequently it saddens me that I cannot recommend Zimbabwe for independent travel.
