Yuanyang Terraced Fields ¤¸¶§±è¥Ð

Yuanyang, a Hani minority settlement atop a mountain south of Jianshui, is one of the HIGHLIGHTs of our trip.
During the past hundreds of years, the diligent and intelligent people of Hani and Yi have engineered
the hillslopes into terraced fields for planting rice crops.
Nowadays, these terraced fields, functional yet artisitc, have become precious cultural and tourism assets.

In winter and early spring, when paddies are flooded for nourishment, a mirror effect
would be created along slopes and across valleys.
Such effect combined with the characterful local climate could often produce heavenly fascinating scenes.
You just have to believe your eyes!
