Luoping Flower Sea 花海羅平

Luoping is located on the border of Yunnan, Guizhou, and Guangxi Province.
It is dominated by karst features with small basins among mountain ranges.

Luoping is a national base for raising bees and proudcing honey products.
During February and March each year, millions of yellow rapeseed flowers are in full bloom and create flower seas everywhere.

羅平是位於滇、桂、黔三省交界的一個小鎮，是全國油菜生產基地縣，也是蜂產品加工基地。
羅平素有雞鳴三省之稱，這裏是雲南的土地，貴州的天氣，廣西的山水。

每年的春節過後，三十萬畝油菜花在羅平壩子競相怒放，這時的羅平壩子便是油菜花的海洋，被稱為世界上“最大的天成花園”。
此外，每年有上千個來自五湖四海及當地的"追花人"，都"蜂"擁而至，放蜂取蜜。

油菜花是最容易栽培的農作物之一，農民常於農田冬春休耕期間在田裏灑上油菜籽，播種後約兩個月便開出朵朵黃色的小花。
油菜花的嫩莖及葉可以食用，種子還可以榨油或當飼料，這是大多數農人種植油菜花的主要動機。
由於花粉中含有豐富的花蜜，常引來翩翩彩蝶與小蟲子飛舞於花間，由此平添了鄉間田園繽紛的景致。
