Farewell to Old Chengdu 老成都的蛻變•寬、窄巷子

Tucked away in the southwest suburbs of Chengdu, Kuanxiangzi (Wide Lane) and Zhaixiangzi (Narrow Lane) are
used to be home to officials in the Ming and Qing dynasties.

These two streets are said to be the only two ancient streets remaining
almost intact in Chengdu with some of the architecture dating back over 450 years.

Today, most of their habitants removed from the dilapidated houses, were ready for a renovation.

A blueprint found on the wall details the future of the two streets.
They will be renovated into a commercial area for travel and leisure.

Histories and stories will be remembered...
