Danba lies along the eastern border of the Ganzi in western Sichuan where the rivers of Big
Jinchuan and Small Jinchuan meet, marking the beginning of the Dadu River.

Danba's landscape is varying vertically, from the high-altitude snow-capped mountains,
to glaciers and the low altitude grasslands and valleys.

The girls from Danba are famed to be the prettiest in the region, giving the valley a second nickname, 'The Beauty Valley'.
Beautiful local women clothed in magnificent traditional dresses together with the beautiful village landscape
have become photographic treats for tourists and photographers alike.
