California Towhee

Rancho San Antonio Open Space, Los Altos, Ca

This California Towhee was shot in late afternoon at the San Antonio Open Space Preserve in Los Altos,California using the Canon 100-400 1/320, f5.6, 400 ISO. It was on the trail as my wife and I walked towards it and, typical of this very friendly species, just hopped up on the rail fence near the trail as we got closer.
