Canada Goose

6/3 - Something must have happened to the eggs in this nest. As was the case two weeks ago when I checked on their status, there was no sign of eggs, or nest anywhere. If the eggs had hatched I THINK I would have seen goslings somewhere, but there were only adult geese.
5/12 - My lack of observation skills continue to amaze me. The first thing I noticed when I came upon the lake were what I THOUGHT might be ducklings or goslings on the far side. Then a couple of mallards were chasing each other around and flew/swam over to a small group of turtles. I'm not sure at what point I noticed this goose sitting on her nest not even 3 ft. away. I heard nothing from her.
