A tightly cropped portrait of a resting tiger where our brains complete the image outside of the frame. Within the frame the tiger is well composed with space to move in front of the animal and the
body making interesting shapes in the space. The nearest eye is well focused and the body of the animal is generally well exposed in the harsh light with only a few blown highlight areas. However the light is not the
photographer's friend in this image and most of the body is in shadow and feels very flat. Shooting down on the subject also tends to diminish its presence and to make the tiger feel more majestic, shooting from a lower point of view might help.
