Judges Comments

This image is technically very well done, but the link between the human figure and the sculpture completely escapes me. Compositionally we are drawn to the human figure
in the foreground dressed in dark clothes and set against a lighter background. We are kept in the image by a dark vignette that further focuses us on the lighter centre. The image
contains interesting shapes and oblique lines to give it life and energy. A point to consider is that the text on the sculpture and the lines of the stairs do tend to take us to the edge of the image.
