The quiet and winding road

Tuesday 12th April - Day 115

Best viewed at Original

This is another photo of the 'old' A30. Just to the west of Okehampton, this rolls and winds through the Devon countryside. For a quiet side road, it is wide and in good-ish condition. Until 20 years ago, this was the main route through Devon, to Cornwall. And indeed in a previous life, I have spent many hours queued in traffic on this stretch of road.

No, your on the left side of the road, which is the right side,,, right. LOL !! I believe it was an act of defiance after beating the British that the Americans began driving their coaches on the opposite side of the road...this I have heard, but not sure if it's fact.
That's dramatic, Lee.

I like the slight tilt of the road, or maybe it was you the way you held the camera. I like that darkness. ALmost threatening appearance.

Nice shot - works really well in B&W, the detail in the sky is great.

It is so weird to see cars driving on the other side of a curvy road....I want to say get over fool ;) Looks like a fun road to drive and the B&W really highlights it.
