Aberlady Bay is a major staging area for large numbers of Pink-footed Geese in the autumn. Numbers can exceed 20,000 before the birds move on south to their English wintering grounds in East Anglia.
Often these flocks hold the odd vagrant goose such as Snow Goose (as here: http://www.pbase.com/rainbirder/image/121372113 ).
