Well, I got back late from day off only to find that Rat L had taken up position directly below the catwalk about 10 feet down. Thought I'd leave it for another day as the sun was about to set and I was pretty tired from a swim in the North Yuba and hauling up supplies, but Ben requested a 'how to' lesson on rattler rangling before he left, so I acquiesced.
Except for loosing my footing briefly on loose rocks several feet above him , it went fairly smoothly....not so much as a tail shake out of him. Here he is awaiting relocation in the 5 gallon paint bucket.
