Yesterday morning the chipmunks and CA ground squirrels gave me full warning that an unwelcome visitor had made it's way to the choke cherry bushes on the north side of the lookout. Though I was unable to see it, rodent reliablility has in the past been immpecable.
Sure enough, it showed up about 10' below my door on the east side partially hidden under an unmovable boulder, and not in a location I was comfortable trying to capture it. I need somewhere a little more out in the open to feel relatively safe.
It's not so bad having it around as long as I have eyes on it. But unfortunately, Rat L Slink has given me the slip for the moment and is lurking in an undisclosed location. I hate when that happens.
