We almost stayed at Hodgdon Meadow campground inside the park. There was one or two campsites left, but it was going to be really crowded and noisy, so we decided to try our luck outside the Big Oak Flat road entrance. We stumbled around for at least an hour, and it was soon to be sunset. We found this wonderful spot at the end of a Forest Service road just in time!
