Engine 32 on the Edge

Doesn't belong in the 2008 gallery,.....not sure where to put it, but I want to be sure the current FS folks get a chance to see it. It's from the mid to early 90's, when an Engine nearly slid down a scree slope in torrential rain and fog.
I could figure out the date if I found interior photos of the lookout. They had just brought up a new propane stove/oven in gusting, wet winds.........up metal stairs and slippery rocks.

I think they tried two different tow trucks from Downieville Motors to pull this back up onto the road, but to no avail. It took a bulldozer to pull this out.
To this day, no FS engine has made the journey beyond the Bee Tree.
From a slide.

I remember when this happened. It still makes me laugh at those guys. I'm sure Arnold will have the actual date and even the crew.

Wow! That is back in the day, looks like they still had the 3 digit numbers.
