Finally got knocked off the mountain on Halloween, and this shot is the harbinger of the storm system that did it.
The shot was taken 45 to 50 minutes before the sunrise. Peeked out of the covers around 5:45 to see the faintest hint of warm light beginning. From past experience, I know that underexposing a shot this soon before sunrise can bring out blues in the sky that just aren't evident to the naked eye. (2 stops underexposed...see exif data).
Also not as sharp as it could be, but the wind was blowing hard enough from the south to shake the whole building a little, and each of the 4 pano exposures were 6 seconds each.
Perhaps the most gorgeous sunrise of the season........saved the best for last.
