Here's most of the family (total Mom + six) that were born and raised inside the middle of this rolled up piece of carpet out on the narrow catwalk that we affectionately refer to as the Munchkin Veranda.
Not a very good shot, but I just wanted to try to convey a bit of what it was like to have them there. In the foreground is some stuff piled on top of the pillows on the bed. There were a couple of mornings where at least one these newbies was up and gazing towards the east, & our heads (!), before sunrise, waiting for the day to begin. Precious.
Not knowing how long they'd stay, and not wanting to scare them away, I didn't manage to get many good shots. They only hung around for several days after they started to explore, though they'd been down in there for around two months with the mother, who would go forage often.
