One of my favorite parks near urban areas in the east coast. Just a few miles outside of DC, you can wonder around on the fantastic rock outcrops of the Great Falls area and feel like you are far, far away from a city either in some tropical rainforest in Brazil or in the Yukon depending on the time of year (such is the DC weather :-)
