Tree Advice

Yosemite Nat'l Park, CA

Inspired to post this beauty saying from a shot by Marisa...
her image http://www.pbase.com/image/55852799 was simply too
lovely & her words, simply to elegant, made me think back to
this poster shown on a community board at Yosemite Village.

I was truly horrified when I saw this message written here from a bud that I talk with & admire. The absolute ignorance of some peeps never ceases to amaze me, but this story rates in the top 10, for sure!
I'm making this private comment public in hopes that it may hit someone & perhaps set them straight on just how we need to be aware of our surroundings, of the awesome gifts we have been given & the extreme importance of placing the highest value on such gifts ~
He's lucky you didn't toss him over the side of the cliff, Buz! Thanx for sharing ~

Years ago while seated on a rock watching a sunset at 6,600 feet, a group of church kids lead by their pastor came to that same bluff, five miles from the nearest road, and began saying prayers. Yes, I felt it was an intrusion but said nothing. When it was over in ten minutes they began to mill around. One of these teenaged lads had a machete and began hacking on the ancient, stunted spruce on that windswept precipice. I waited for his pastor to say something for a few seconds. Then I stood up and in a voice loud enough for all of them to hear I said, "What is wrong with you? You come to this place to pray to God and then you immediately defile the temple He made." The pastor said nothing and they all sulked away. Little shits

The unspoken example of life expressed in nature. Too good!
