On the second day we got up early to hike to Moooney and Beaver Falls (around 7 miles round trip. It's 14 miles round trip to go to the Colorado River and back). Mooney Falls is twice as high as Havasu and just as pretty. Accessing Mooney Falls requires walking through some small caves (blown into the rock a long time ago by miners) and climbing down ladders and steps cut in the rock with chains bolted in for hand holds. We continued along the trail to some other swimming holes and Beaver Falls, where we spent most of the afternoon. Beaver Falls wasn't as high as the other falls, but had a lot of smaller cascades. Besides being pretty, it had the added bonus of only a fraction of the people around the campground/Havasu Falls.
