We also saw three badgers along the road. We had to drive very slowly due to the severe washboarding, otherwise we might have missed these guys. These are some fierce little dudes. And I don't mean Tyra Banks fierce ... I mean "I'll rip a chunk out of your leg" fierce. I wish I had taken video of the badger because he threw such a colossal fit -- teeth bared, loud hissing noises, jumping around. He even made a move towards the car. If he had no qualms about mounting an attack on a car, I would hate to see what he would do if we met up with him on the trail.
