Capitol Reef and Escalante October 2022

We spent fall break in southern Utah revisiting some favorite spots and exploring new ones. We split our time between Capitol Reef National Park and Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument. This is how we spent our days:

Day 0: Drove from the Grand Canyon to camp at Muley Point (via the Moki Dugway)
Day 1: Leprechaun Canyon, Arsenic Arch, Little Egypt, Chimney Rock Trail
Day 2: Navajo Knobs
Day 3: Cohab Canyon, Frying Pan Trail, Cassidy Arch, Grand Wash, Headquarters Canyon
Day 4: Lower Muley Twist
Day 5: Lower Calf Creek Falls, Devil’s Garden, Peekaboo & Spooky Canyons
Day 6: Coyote Gulch (via the Sneaker Route), Sunset & Moonrise Arches
Day 7: Willow and Fortymile Gulches
Day 8: Drive home

Overall it was a fantastic trip full of beautiful landscapes, slot canyons, arches, hoodoos, and lovely oases in the desert. We had a wonderful week!
