We had a long day of travel on the 24th including a very choppy crossing of Chatham Straight during some of which I slept. We fiinally travelled up Red Bluff past this falls. When we got to the bay we went on a bear hunting walk in the rain. We all sat on a log getting thoroughly rained on and saw no bears. But it was fun anyhow. And I found out that the makeshift camera raincoat I made of the pant leg of a cheap rainsuit worked like a charm.
