Leaves off the trees, getting colder. cool north winds, yes winter is just around the corner. This will probably be one of the last of the photos of geese. They were sitting out in the middle of the Park by the Lake and I made a feeding call which I have used in the past. To my surprise about 15 slowly came over...You could see that the trust was almost gone..I stayed my distance and threw them some split peas which they really like...It took a while and they slowly came on shore..I knew that they took a pounding from the hunters the last few weeks and my tripod probably reminded them of guns...I guess they felt that; we are here, please stay your distance..Over the hour I took about 30 photos. It was a sad but rewarding day...I know what is a head of them. The memories of the past year will be in my mind. It was like saying goodbye.. I watch them grow from the first days out the egg till now...In that time I probably had taken 7000 photo's. Wildlife has alway been a part of my life since I was a small boy. They will be missed as they brought much joy into my life...I will be there for there return in the spring...Thanks for reading.
