Hi Pawel,

I saw in the Yahoo Takahashi Group an older post of you (2014), in reply to another Tak users question regarding altitude clamp slipping on a Takahashi EM-200 mount.

I own a Tak EM-400 mount which has the same altitude clamp slipping issue of the mount base. The issue was there since purchased new in 2010 (due to all the 2-way shipping hassles and paint/sticker scratching risk, I didn't send the mount base back to Takahashi Europe).
The clamp never applied enough force to the altitude axle, even clamping down with force just slightly increases the resistance, but no solid clamping can be achieved. I tried to fasten the large clamp lever several times, re-tightened also its tiny screws (which are clamping the round axis), without much success. I feel slightly frustrated on this annoying issue on an otherwise very fine mount.

I googled in the web many days and hours but found no other problem solution post than yours. I was unable to find in the net any clamp adjusting spec, nor any pictures of the altitude axis clamping mechanism, showing the pressure plate and its set screws.

You mentioned that in many cases it is needed to slightly adjust / tighten the set screws adjusting pressure plate which forms part of the alt bearing. And that these set screws are accessible only after removing first the Takahashi sticker from the mount base.

I would like to do this on my EM-400. I am interested in your experience on that sticker removal. Is it possible to remove the round Takahashi sticker without damaging it? I have no clue how the sticker was installed at factory, but I guess by some kind of double-sided adhesive tape? If so, a combination of warming the sticker by a hairdryer and pulling it then by some kind of vacuum tool might work (I would have to look around for an working tool). Maybe there are other and better solutions. How did you remove it?
