The aurora was visible in zenith over Sweeden, some 600km north. Still, it was nicely visible over northern horizon from Warsaw, Poland. Alerted by "Auroal Forecast" Android app, I drove to my friend Dominik and together we went to Jeziorko Dziekanowskie site north of Warsaw to escape light pollution. It was not the darkest place but still we were able to capture few nice images of aurora. To the eye, the most prominent features were vertical columns of light. Cameras though captured subtle green and purple colors of the aurora. First one I have seen since the memorable events in 2003!
