A beautiful winter sky object. The emission nebula has twice the diameter of the Moon and includes inside an open cluster. Rosette is a part of a huge complex of emission nebulae in constellation Monoceros, including also Hubble Nebula, Cone Nebula, Christmas Tree cluster and many more. The full size of the complex can be appreciated only on wide-field deep photographs!
The open cluster is visible in 8 x 30 binos. To see the nebula, one need an UHC or OIII filter.
