Comet PanSTARRS (C/2011 L4)

This comet is giving a nice show but quite short of being spectacular, at least viewed from 52N. I would say it should be easily naked eye visible under dark rural skies and w/o moon. Unfortunately the best time to view the comet from Poland was also coinciding with full moon approaching. The comet was easily visible in 50x15 IS binos and on images taken outside Warsaw on 23rd March, while I could not capture it well over Warsaw skyline on 22nd (what I hopped for).

On 23rd, I ventured some 30km south of town to get under dark skies. I found a nice place on an abandoned ferry landing place with good view to the west over the Wisla river. Temperature outside was -15C with a bone chilling wind, especially nicely felt in the middle of the river ;-) I managed to capture few shots of the comet and surroundings, lit by the ample moon light.
