Cold and Frosty

Saturday morning was our coldest yet: 22F ( -5C) and the birds almost cleaned out my feeder the day before.
They must have know it was going to be cold over night.
It did get up to 45F ( 7C) during the day with sunshine. Can't complain about that in December.

Barely a single frost here as yet, Patti.
I'm hoping it stays that way, but it's pretty unlikely!
Well done, for keeping an eye on our little feathered friends!

We have frost here too and a touch of snow but it's not quite that cold. Nice morning light.

They left a tad bit for breakfast. Cold as the dickens here too!

It sure looks chilly out your way. Our luck is soon to change. Frigid weather is comming.

Nice feeder - I have the exact same one! - and yep, everything was covered in hard frost here too on Saturday. The ground was also frozen in places for the first time this year. Back to mild and rainy today. I guess I better be smart and get the Christmas lights up today while it's not too cold.

yes, if you want to know the weather forecast...just watch the birds. That's one frosty feeder!

A warm heart is needed to keep the birds fed during the cold months.

Birds need lots of fuel in cold weather. Terrific image.

Aaawh... poor birdies, I'm sure you will keep those that stick around feed over the winter. I think the birds are like us, give me four seasons, cold - snow - more snow - construction!
