Striking building with the characteristic stepped gable, built in 1921 in the Neo-Dutch Renaissance style. Architect: D. Monsma. It stands firmly founded on 110 pine piles. Originally, the building was used as a Transformer House, at the time a hub for the electricity supply, equipped with a basement and an upstairs apartment.
In 1982, commissioned by the Church Council of the Reformed Congregation of Meppel, the building was converted into a church centre. The building is a Rijksmonument (national monument).
