Name after the city's founding brothers, Amerige Heights is a master plan community of 1200+ homes built on the former site of Hughes Aircraft Ground System Group where 11,000 people worked in the late-1980's.
Hughes decided to close most of its operations here in the early 1990's and then sold its defense business to Raytheon, which sold this land to developers.
