March-May the weather is very hot in Thailand. It is also the end of the time when people visit for birding in the Kingdom. Thus there is always an urge to go somewhere else for a bit of adventure and change of scenery.

I wasnt sure where to go or what to do. Had many options. In the end it was an invitation from Per Holmen that won. Per is a very experienced birder and photographer that has lived in South Africa for years and visited Tanzania time and again. He told me he know owns a house on a Golf Estate and that he was looking to take birders out. We came to an agreement but dates were a bit of a struggle. In the end I bought a ticket with only 5 days to go and was ushered to Africa quicker then lightning it felt.
