Knowing that the airline had grounded its Boeing 737 MAX made me not worry too much about the flight.
The flight was over Addis Ababa where I parked myself by a window and managed to see 5 lifers. Speckled Pigeon, White-collared Pigeon (endemic to Ethiopia), Swainson's Sparrow, Black-winged Kite and Rock Martins.

The flight to Kilimanjaro International Airport went well and I was first one off the plane.
They asked me for Yellow Fever certificate. I didnt know of such a thing and told them I had only been in transit. They let me in.

Per showed up a few minutes after I got out to the parking lot and off we went.
