This (moderately poisonous) snake was just below our campsite digging
around in this patch of sand - we think for turtle eggs, but not sure.
It knew we were there and if we moved, would flash back into cover,
only to come out again a short time later. We were quite happy to
watch until it decided to go under our camper trailer's tent floor...
then a couple of soft footsteps on the inside had it scarpering for
the scrub like black lightning! It didn't come back (that we knew of :-) )!
