We are not new to the park. We have spent 2 vacations here in the park before moving in.
Now it is part of our backyard.
Lots of things have changed since our last visit. The pine beetle devastation has spread over the continental divide to the east part of the park. We see lots of dead trees were we remember seeing healthy forest. But the park still remains beautiful.

RMNP offers easy access to the alpine tundra via Trail Ridge Rd which is open in summer. The focus of this gallery is the high alpine environment found in the park.

RMNP alpine tundra is a great place to see Pikas. These elusive critters are more easy heard than seen but can be spotted here. Also good place to see marmots, great place for Elks in summer (before they move down for fall rut). We have not been lucky enough to see white tailed ptarmigan (which is on the most wanted list of many birders).

Wiele sie zmienilo od naszej ostatniej wizyty w tym parku (2 lata temu). Pine beetle (zuk- szkodnik atakujacy glownie sosny) zaczal atakowac drzewa takze po wschodniej stronie parku, zostawiajac wiele martwych drzew. . Ciagle park jest przepiekny.
Dostep do alpejskiej tundry jest ulawiony przez droge Trail Ridge Rd otwarta w lecie.
