Joshua Tree Drive

Death Valley National Park view map

While the road out to the Racetrack salt flat was 27 miles of hellacious washboard,
the trip was very scenic. Here is the view when driving through a small forest
of Joshua trees. There aren't many tall trees in Death Valley and these Joshua trees
were a welcome sight to break up the monotony of the barren landscape.

Very nice composition of this harsh, barren landscape! Snow on the slope far behind is amazing. Well done!

I really like this image, Sam. It still amazes me that you can have snow in Death Valley. It doesn't seem possible. You proved it in this image. Great work. V.

It defiantly looks like a place one would choose not to build their retirement home :-))
