Oh no! It's already 9:30 and I'm just leaving work and I STILL haven't taken any decent pictures! What can I take a picture of now?!? Everything is dark! Hmmmm...

Trisha: If I were in a pinch for a photo today, I'd use the moon. But I have other things that will work for today, and when I do my moon shoot, I'll maybe figure out a way to have a better telephoto view, and a full moon, etc. :) Remember, all my pictures for the year will end up on a single picture, and there isn't much to give a reason for multiple pictures of the moon since it doesn't change significantly, so I'd like to avoid having more than one.

Paul, who says you're gonna look bad if you have more than one moon shot? I am not sure I understand- if you didn't have any other subjects, will you just not have a picture for Sept 3?

It's sort of a regular camera, but it's got a good Nikon lens on it, and it was taken at 12 Megapixel resolution which allows me to pull pretty much out of it. I think this is a cool picture, but I'll probably not use it because I only get one moon picture on my year long collage without looking bad, and I think I'd rather have a full moon, or something better than this one. Thanks for your kind comments though! But this will most likely end up in the "Extras" section. :)

That's a really cool shot Paul ... can't believe you can get such good moon features with your regular camera .. slick!

Very nice I like this one the best! Those last minute pictures always seem to be the best and most creative. :-)
