Temple Mountain

This is a Barrier Canyon Style panel with the exception of the figure just right of center (the one with the broad shoulders) which may be a newer Fremont style pictograph. This Fremont figure is superimposed over a bug-eyed Barrier Canyon Style anthropomorph. The animal on the left is most likely a dog. This panel might have been truly fantastic at one time but natural exfoliation has caused sections of the panel to fall leaving only wall fragments.

Not too long ago this panel was heavily vandalized but on my trip most of the occurences of vandalism were gone. I'm assuming that some serious restoration work was done recently.

We visited this site in May 2011. We took a picture at this same site. I love that picture and use it as my desktop. You have a great site!
