I lived at 1455 Jessup Ave. I went to ps104 I lived there from 1952-1963. Went to highbridge Jewish Center to hebrew school.

We lived at 1418 Jessup ave,before that at Davidson near Trremont and bfore that at 821 Ritter place. Went to PS 40 63 104 82 and Dewitt Clinton and then to Hunter college uptown. Bx, Bx Bx.

My wife lived at 99 Featherbed Lane at the foot of Jesup Ave. I lived at 1475 Jesup Ave. at the corner of 172 St. We both went to 104 and 82. She went to Walton HS and I went to Clinton. We were married in 1952 and lived on Grand Ave. and 174 St. Then moved to Montgomery Ave. in 1959 and paid $56.00 a month rent for a two bedroom apt. We moved to Rocklnd County in 1965.

I remember when those stairs were a killer oH my god I couldnt belive me and grandmom and my moms walk those stairs together. Thats history

That's my old building in the middle of the photograph, on top of the stairs. 1668 Davidson. The second red brick building (not the one with the satellite dish, the one with the grey/green fire escapes. The big yellow 6 story building is 1672 Davidson where many of my childhood friends lived. The lots next to the stairs is where we had rock fights, built forts, sleighed daringly, roasted potatoes (Mickeys). Thanks for the images. I went back there in May of '07 then walked to Yankee Stadium with one of my sons...I'm 71, went to 104 and 82.
