This stone is located in Humboldt City Cemetery. It marks the burial ground for the family of Lewis Cass Mann, the fifth of six children born to Morgan Allen Mann & his wife Anna M. Pettit. Cass, as he was known, traveled west to Humboldt in 1868 & became a successful cattleman. His sister Elizabeth Beard also went to Humboldt, along with his older brother & my 3rd great paternal grandfather, Robert Mitchell Mann.
