Robert was the 3rd of six children born to Morgan Allen Mann & his wife Anna M. Pettit. He's my own 2nd great paternal grandfather & the first of my Mann line to migrate to Nebraska. Robert served with two separate units during the War of the Rebellion. First her served with an infantry unit out of Indiana, followed by servcie with an Ohio artillery unit. He married Lucinda Connor in Lynn, Randolph County Indiana on 09 September 1871. Together they had six known children. He & his wife & family migrated to Humboldt, Richardson County Nebraska, around 1879. This image was scanned from the original tin-type, given to me by my grand aunt Ruth Mann Heinz.
