It's not a long hike up to high camp (only about 3 miles/3000 feet), but it's tiring with 50 lb. packs, so we took a leisurely pace. There are quite a few boulder fields, a couple of snow fields, a ridge or two, and far too much scree and sand. In all it took us about four hours.
