So-called Hard Man in his standard body position. This is at the top of Thunderbolt pass looking over into Palisade Basin. We ended up finding a campsite just below the pass. This made our approach hikes very short. In fact the approach hike to Thunderbolt Peak was about ten minutes. Just below our cam was a slowly melting snowfield - our only source of water. It didn't really start to flow until about 2:00 in the afternoon, after several hours of sunlight.
