To experience the full light of day, one must travel through the darkness in order to see the Light.
The light = 50% knowing (and 50% ignorance)
The darkness = 50% ignorance (and 50% knowing)
The light + the darkness = 100% Light (knowledge, awareness, understanding and wisdom)
One day is made up of 12 hours of light, and 12 hours of darkness. To be complete, a day must contain both light and dark aspects. If a day were made up of only light, the life on this planet would not be able to properly rest and rejuvenate. If a day were made up of only darkness, then there would be no opportunity for growth. In nature, the healthiest growth occurs when polarities are properly balanced (day and night, summer and winter, hot and cold, etc).
1. Seek individual
experience and take in external knowledge.
Develop internal understanding (learn and grow).
2. Share internal understanding with others. Seek
additional knowledge and experience.
3.
Reflect on what has been learned (both internally and externally). Develop greater
understanding (leading to wisdom). Share what has been learned with
others. Seek additional knowledge and experience.
...And so on
